THE YOU CAN GO TO COLLEGE COMMITTEE
The You Can Go To College Committee, was formulated to meet the needs of our youth, to
provide opportunities for students to attend college. This is done through trips to predominately African American colleges
where extensive tours and financial aid workshops are conducted, and testing preparation classes for
the SAT. In addition, monthly college bound workshops are held for students for moral and spiritual
leadership to stay off of drugs and alcohol, avoid teen pregnancy, and complete high school with all college
entry requirements. The Committee also provides cultural awareness development through trips to the
theater and to museums.We are currently servicing students in all Boros. You Can Go To College Committee will work
with all students regardless of grade point average, if a student has the desire to attend college. Our requirement
for program completion is community service.
All seniors will receive certificates and scholarship awards upon
completion of the program and fulfillment of high school graduation requirements. Other
participants will also receive a certificate and gift.
You Can Go To College is an independent organization from Hillcrest H.S.

This year, we are offering another exciting SAT PREP and COLLEGE TOURS for students in 9th., 10th., 11th., & 12th. grades in public or private high schools.
One of the offering is the EARLY BIRD SPECIAL - for the ANNUAL HISTORICAL COLLEGE BUS TOUR during the SPRING BREAK.
Also, we will be offering other opportunities to help pay the cost of the College tour at the orientation meetings.
